About

Who We Are

Focusing on elevating wellness in every aspect of life.

It Is Well Living was founded in 2021 by former Beauty Director of Education and Social Influence, Dina Lano.

“Growing up in the beauty industry taught me so much about myself and my passion for helping consumers find products that enhance their beauty and make them feel as great as they look. My appreciation for consumer goods has evolved with age. I have become a more conscience consumer over the last decade. From what I consume nutritionally to what I wear. I have learned that to live well, you must pay attention and nurture every aspect of life. I want to thrive not just survive.”

It Is Well Living is a community for those that seek to be a more conscience consumer and live well in every aspect of life; nutritionally, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

It Is Well Living Apparel brings luxe comfort, eco-friendly apparel to the conscious consumer.

Why slow fashion versus fast fashion?

Fast fashion has a high social and environmental impact because it is mass

produced, lowered quality and therefore lower priced. More wasteful practices in

making of the garments and they quickly end up in landfills.

Fast fashion encourages new trends and more production. 400% more clothes are produced now compared to 20 years ago and a garment is worn only an average of 7 times before it is discarded.

During production, massive amounts of water, and potentially harmful dye, oils

and chemicals are used. Overall, you could say fast fashion has a quick and

disposable approach to fashion.

By contrast, slow fashion is a more mindful by producing garments that are not

mass produced, made by hand or small batches, consume more time to make,

made of more natural or recycled materials/fabrics, use artistic talent, typically

better quality and therefore higher priced. Slow fashion considers al the impacts

their creations will have on both the
consumer and the environment.

Fabrics are considered either natural or synthetic (or a blend of the two).

Natural fibers come from plants, animals, or minerals.

Natural fibers include cotton, linen, jute, hemp, bamboo, silk and wool.

Synthetic fibers are made from chemical compounds. They are cheaper and

more easily mass produced. Polyester (made. From coal and petroleum), rayon,

spandex (aka lycra or elastane), acrylic and microfibers are examples of

synthetic fibers.

More eco-friendly and sustainable fabrics are; organic cotton, linen, hemp, silk,

responsible wool and cashmere, bamboo and Tencel.
